What’s the deal with Democratic Town Chair Mario Testa and the business community? Seems like his restaurant has become a destination point for business events. Ah, must be a kinder, gentler Mario. Hey, it’s good for business. Of course, doesn’t hurt that Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman is part of the panel for the second annual Robert Trefry Health Care Symposium. Trefry, former president of Bridgeport Hospital, is a member of the revamped state-appointed Bridgeport Board of Education. Check it out.
2ND ANNUAL ROBERT J. TREFRY HEALTH CARE SYMPOSIUM
How will health care reform affect your business?
Join the BRBC for a luncheon and panel discussion on health care reform and how it impacts businesses in Connecticut.
Panelists include:
– Nancy Wyman, Lieutenant Governor, State of Connecticut
– Ronald Bianchi, Corporate Sr. Vice President, St. Vincent’s Health Services
– Frank Scifo, MD, FAAFP, Director Primary Care Development
– A representative from United HealthcareThursday, November 3 2011, 12:00pm to 1:30pm, Testo’s Restaurant, 1775 Madison Avenue, Bridgeport. Cost: $35 members; $45 future members.
Let’s be honest. Testo’s is a catering facility in a great neighborhood. Why shouldn’t it be a host? It doesn’t always have to be at the Holiday Inn, does it?
No question. The man knows his way around a pot and a pan. Exquisite cuisine. I was once a regular but will not return. I think the man is despicable and I will not use my personal resources to add to his.
Guess Mr. Trefry is getting out of the education business.
