Laborers’ Union Endorses Finch For State Senate

News release from Finch campaign:

Bill Finch received the first endorsement from a major labor union representing the Greater Bridgeport region earlier today. The men and women of the International Laborers’ Union Local 665, headquartered in Bridgeport, unanimously endorsed Bill Finch as their candidate of choice in the race for State Senate to represent Bridgeport, Monroe, and Trumbull. Union leadership cited Finch’s long record of support for good-paying union jobs for local residents.

Joseph Ambrosini noted Bill’s strong record of accomplishment, stating, “As Mayor and state legislator, Bill built and renovated more new schools than any previous administration. He built these schools on time and on-budget with union labor and a diverse local workforce. He utilized the Fairfield County Building Trades Unions and supported Project Labor Agreements for all school construction projects and even private developments such as Steel Point in Bridgeport. He knows how important union labor is to not only the City of Bridgeport, Trumbull and Monroe but to all residents and the community. Bill Finch is the most qualified candidate in this race. He knows the geography and its stakeholders and has the experience necessary to hit the ground running and produce results for Bridgeport, Trumbull, and Monroe.”
