We’ve entered Barnum Festival week, the annual salute to showman P.T. Barnum, with all kinds of cool stuff lined up, including Jenny Lind concert June 27 at the Bijou Theatre, Sky Blast fireworks show June 28 at Seaside Park with music simulcast broadcast by radio station WEBE 108, Champions on Parade June 29 at Kennedy Stadium and the Great Street Parade June 30 at noon. Javier Colon, inaugural winner of NBC’s The Voice will make a special appearance in the parade sharing a float with the finalists of the Barnum’s Got Talent Voice Competition.
Javier Colon was born in Bridgeport and raised in Stratford. The parade will feature the traditional route from North Avenue to north along Park Avenue. For more, visit www.barnumfestival.com.
