On February 17, 2026 at 20:14:12, Ladder 6 — LT. Sean Canfield, A/DR Angel Cintron, FF Joey Nguyen, and FF Jeremiah Lopez responded to a medical emergency at 140 Clifford Street for a reported childbirth in progress.
Upon arrival, crews found a 31-year-old female hunched over her bed stating that her water had broken and the baby was coming. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Ladder 6 immediately transitioned into action.
With calm professionalism and decisive teamwork, Firefighter Joey Nguyen successfully delivered a healthy baby, assisted by AMR EMT Canty and Firefighter Jeremiah Lopez.
This call highlights the critical role our firefighters play not only in fire suppression but in emergency medical care. Their quick thinking, training, and composure ensured a safe delivery for both mother and child.
