News release from Mayor’s Office:
The City of Bridgeport Office of Planning and Economic Development announced that demolition of 1081 Iranistan Avenue in West End Bridgeport has begun.
The site is considered a condemnation demolition due to the owners’ abandonment of the property. Subsequently, the site was being used by squatters for illegal activities and complaints were filed by surrounding neighbors. The knock-down began after the Housing Authority gained possession.
After demolition, the site will be cleared, leveled, and bordered with ornamental fencing. The City of Bridgeport holds the lien on the property and the Housing Authority will reposition the site.
Glad properties like this are getting torn down, but unfortunately this land will remain empty possibly for years and years now.Slowly,Bpt is decaying.
how about the city finding 2 families that can an built a townhome on it?
Oh, ye of little fate. Sal Dinardo or maybe John Ricci or John Guedes or someone will emerge from the fog (Friend Of Ganim) who will sweep in and buy it dirt cheap and then suddenly the city will realize they have a need for it and pay 5 times what the FOG paid.
That’s the way Corrupticut works.
Maybe you or your MM home girl can put your money where your mouth is. Quit your bitching and start your bidding!
It’s not a matter of Bob Walsh or Marilyn Moore, it’s the City who don’t know anything about property disposition and development..
REALLY Grim, that’s the best you can come with. Don’t be a little bitch if you call out someone be man enough to use their name.
DD: You have me Grinning from Ear to Ear! Love, Tom Kelly.
MARILYN MOORE!
Donald
Pay no attention to him. He sounds like a 9 year old trying to make something out of nothing. Your mother wears combat boots. I don’t even know what he is trying to say.
I guess he makes a nickel from Ganim every time he besmirches Marylyn’s name.
But you can continue to throw shade on others!
We’ll see who’s throwing shade versus who is foretelling what will happen.
You’re a real fortune 🍪! It will be curtains for you.
Speaking of throwing shade, Mayor Ganim announced his November announcement concerning task forces on Education, Housing and School Buildings and Infrastructure are going to happen, maybe.
Well the committee on School Buildings and Infrastructure won’t happen. But the other ones will; sooner or later. Maybe.
And all of you Ganim supporters who took great glee in Marilyn’s missteps in her campaign can start making excuses for the Mayor who with all of City Hall Behring him can’t name a couple of committees.
He’s already disengaged. Maybe he’s planning a late run for President. That will keep him busy for a while.
Bob, NO ONE had more joy than Maria Pereira as she took great glee in Marilyn’s missteps in her campaign, no one on OIB made more negative comments against Senator Marilyn Moore. I know that Mayor Ganim truly appreciate Maria’s comments about Marilyn. Maria must be disappointed because she had to be looking forward to the task forces on Education, Housing and School Buildings and Infrastructure.
