Here’s the latest information on our upcoming June 18th “Summer Smash” Bash.
WHAT: Our “Summer Smash” Bash – An East Enders’ Alumni Association reunion party for former Bridgeport East Enders and East Siders who were born during the 1940s. If you are familiar with our triennial “Big Bash” reunion parties – this is almost the same thing, only it’s being held during the day, and attendance is FREE. So come on out and meet up and mingle with old school friends and dance to DJ Jim Saxon’s oldies music from the 1950s & 1960s.
WHEN: Saturday, June 18, 2011.
TIME: 2:00PM until 7:00PM.
WHERE: Upstairs at the Captain’s Cove Seaport, 1 Bostwick Ave, Bridgeport. You can visit their web site at: www.captainscoveseaport.com
COST: FREE. Well, you will have to pay for your own bar and food items you might order. Also, I’m guessing we’ll pass a voluntary TIP jar around to pay for the DJ. But other than that, it’s free.
OTHER: Captain’s Cove will have special “East Enders” cocktails and food specials on their menu that day. It’s inside, so we’re having a party rain or shine.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO: If you plan to attend, please let us know by using the following procedure so we can let Captain’s Cove have some idea of how many folks will be there (if you don’t wish to attend, you don’t have to do anything):

Once there you will be able to once again see this announcement, plus any RSVPs already received, and also POST your own RSVP.
You can post your RSVP by clicking on the “POST” function (located in the above far right corner of the black EVENTS line) which will take you to the ADD MESSAGE page.
Once there, click on ADD MESSAGE and then follow the directions to add your RSVP message letting us know who’s attending (include all names in your party). Note: Please select an END DATE of June 19 so your message will not be automatically deleted until after the Summer Smash has been held.
We do hope you will plan on joining us – we think this is a great way to start off the summer season by reuniting with old friends for an enjoyable afternoon of catching up and listening and dancing to the music we grew up with back in the 1950s and 1960s. We might even have a dance contest or two, who knows? So, bring your dancing shoes! Dress comfortably!
Also, please make and bring a NAME badge with you to wear that day which includes your name and your schools and graduation dates. Ladies, please include your maiden names, too.
