Barack: Embrace Biden Over Meanness

After listening to the sound, and measured words of Obama in such a hopeful tone yesterday, I just wished to post “Hear! Hear!” But did not.

I looked at his close haircut and his grey hair which he earned over eight years. The Presidential grind provides this sign of aging to former US past presidents, and is fact based “news” of the wear and tear the office demands. Compared to the “golden Frisbee melt” of 45, which at times takes on an almost saintly “halo” aura until he opens his sneering mouth to deny responsibility, attack the true and real as phony, or distract listeners with his latest dose of ego-gratification.

Thus far the service of 45 in less than four years has provided examples of governance activity that should never have happened. ” Making America Great Again” is necessary but such recovery responsibility of all Americans, includes getting more informed honestly about what happened, finding candidates including the Democratic ticket for P/VP, and making your wishes are known about necessary policy priority.

Take a look at the Obituary section daily in he local paper. Whether Corona virus is mentioned or not the sheer number of deaths at this time make an impression as we read summaries of 50, 70, and 90 year lifetimes that have passed and are complete.What sense of truth do you register as you read about the lives of those recently departed?

All of us are human beings, though some may feel it is weakness to admit to feelings that are less than “publicly perfect”. Do you see “curiosity” to learn and know most of the facts, and the nuanced feelings of the majority of folks? Do you see “humility” to look at what we may have stated in the past or in a different context in the current statements that admit error or fault, even partially? Can you see “empathy” in the words spoken about fellow Americans, our brothers, sisters, neighbors and those around the world? In the words spoken at each sound bite, especially those without notes or teleprompter? Without appropriate curiosity, humility and empathy we see NO GRAYING HAIR, (a well-earned symbol often worthy of respect) that does not fit 45’s self image..

Rather we see the pancake orange tv face, with “virtual hair” in corn-dog color, and no visually expressed happiness or joy for the “news” that he stands to share with us and hopefully reassure us (or impress or entertain some of us) with the short term quip or dig rather than the long-game result so that all get something? Time will tell.
