Full disclosure.
I voted for Ganim. You know that is not going to happen in the real world. When the pollsters call I will do the same.
Just curious, why would you answer that way, Steve?
Gabrielle, I do it for a couple of reasons. I have always done it, usually so my candidate has to work harder and to give the candidate I don’t want a false sense of security. Although I am not an individual who does not want my vote to be known, I can’t stand pollsters calling incessantly. That probably doesn’t make sense but it is pretty much how most people I know respond. For instance when Republicans call, I’m voting for Mike Huckabee, Dems I’m voting for Bernie Sanders but everyone I know, knows I am voting for Hillary.
Steve believes in misdirection, evidently. Misdirection as a way of life, manner of speaking, attitude towards others probably keeps things interesting and allows him to sample much but settle on little. Is misdirection something that is too clever for Bridgeport? Something to be passed over for the most part? Or are fiscal issues something too abstruse or complicated for the property owner taxpayer? Time will tell.
IN A DEBATE, JOE GANIM CRUSHES THEM ALL.
I’m not being mean, but I doubt any candidate, especially Finch, will agree to a debate with Joe.
Lisa, I think both Finch and Foster are dying to debate Joe. He should not be running for Mayor and a public forum is the perfect place to let the public hear for themselves. Over and over. You can stack the room with Ganim supporters but the facts are the facts. People who do not learn from the past are bound to repeat and fail again. I am so looking forward to the debates. Joe Ganim is definitely charismatic but the weight of his baggage is so very heavy.
THEN WE SHOULD PETITION CHANNEL 12 OR THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS.
What’s really pathetic is the Republican party in Bridgeport doesn’t even attempt to find a candidate to run.
There is no Republican party in Bridgeport.
Yes, the poll is Ganim, Coviello, Foster and Finch. Lol. Really? I think it is upside down, no?
If the Republican Party in Bridgeport wants Finch or Ganim to be the next Mayor, then they should run a candidate, because that is what WILL happen if they run their candidates. And let’s face facts, there is only one who would consider running: Torres.
There is nowhere near enough juice for Torres to get elected, not even close. A run by a Republican will only serve to ensure another huge loss for Bridgeport. If they care about this city in any way, they will not run a candidate.
Nothing personal, it would just be an epic strategic error that’s so obvious it would leave one to wonder if the Republican Party is in cahoots with Ganim or Finch.
The above stated opinion of course assumes Mary-Jane Foster chooses to run in the General Election. If she does not choose to run in the General, the Republicans are still wasting their time and ours.
I would like to comment on the results of this poll. They look skewed in a way that smacks of spite. Is there trouble in paradise somewhere?
Something wrong with these poll results.
Let’s ask Charlie to give out absentee ballots for Ganim.
