Come see the CBS-TV 20th Century Series episode, “Class of ’58.” This television news program was taped at Warren Harding High School, and aired on CBS televison on March 23, 1958.
The program is narrated by Walter Cronkite. The program focused on four students who were struggling with “what to do with their lives after high school.” Scenes were filmed everywhere at Harding; the teachers lounge, assistant principal’s office, senior’s conference room, several classrooms, hallways, and in the auditorium (during the traditional Thanksgiving pep assembly). The legendary principal, Frank J. McKee, was featured, as well as several teachers, all of whom were at Harding. Exterior scenes were filmed at “Bunny’s Restaurant & Caterers,” and in “Hedges’ Memorial Stadium.”
Special Guest: Former Harding teacher Mr. Edward Schneider, who is featured prominently in the film will also be present to share his thoughts on the “Class of ’58.”
