UPDATE: Bradley due back in court Friday for violating terms of his federal bail. See here
Reporting from Mike Cerulli, News 8
The arrest warrant for former State Sen. Dennis Bradley detailed a second alleged instance of the Bridgeport Democrat illegally taking possession of an absentee ballot, while revealing initial forensic examination of another ballot returned inconclusive results.
Bradley, 42, was arrested Tuesday by inspectors from the Office of the Chief State’s Attorney. He stands accused of illegally opening a voter’s sealed absentee ballot and instructing her to change her vote in favor of Bradley’s brother, Mark, who was a candidate in this summer’s Democratic primary for Bridgeport probate judge.
The arrest warrant released Wednesday details the allegations leveled by Alesia Dennis, a voter who spoke with News 8 in August and provided home surveillance footage which investigators say shows Bradley entering her apartment, taking hold of her sealed ballot, opening it and instructing her to change her vote.
Dennis alleges Bradley handed her a pen and instructed her to change her vote for probate judge from Paul Ganim to Bradley.
…The warrant also outlined the account of a second voter, Ray Newby, who claimed Bradley took possession of his sealed absentee ballot. A state inspector said Newby positively identified Bradley from a photo lineup.
