Early voting commences Monday in advance of the August 13 primaries: In Bridgeport, the Margaret Morton Government Center, in Stratford the Baldwin Center and the respective town halls in Trumbull and Monroe in the split town senate districts.
The battle to replace a retiring Marilyn Moore in the Bridgeport, Trumbull and Monroe 22nd Senatorial features City Councilman Scott Burns, former Mayor Bill Finch ex councilman Tyler Mack and law school professor Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox.
In the 23rd Senatorial incumbent Herron Gaston faces City Councilman Ernie Newton. The district covers about two thirds of Bridgeport and western Stratford.
The other biggie: City Councilwoman challenging State House incumbent Andre Baker in the battle for the East Side.
