The lawyer for losing primary candidate John Gomes is asking the court to unseal for examination absentee ballots, applications and envelopes, something either candidate may request per Judge William Clark.
“I just want to see a couple of things,” Gomes’ lawyer, William Bloss, told the CT Post Thursday. “I plan to take a look. It seems like the appropriate thing to do.”
Bloss did not specify what he’s searching. Gomes lost so he’s looking for stuff.
In response Deputy City Attorney John Bohannon issued this statement:
“Paragraph 21 of the Court’s November 17, 2023 Order provides that before 5 p.m. on the day after the special election ‘either candidate may request that copies of the absentee ballot applications, absentee ballot application logs, outer envelopes and inner envelopes be produced to the candidates within two days.’
“Attorney Bloss has simply made such a request on behalf of the Gomes campaign; it is not an indication of anything wrong.”

Gomes lost Tuesday’s redo primary handily to Mayor Joe Ganim who won both the walk-in and absentee votes.
“3-Peat”
Mario and Joe should resign!
And surrender to the Black Rock Elite? The Majority Democrats have spoken. You guys owe me 177 votes.
Had it not been for the stolen and destroyed Absenttee Ballots (estimated total 177) by the Gomes camp, my predicted total would have been 1,237 for JOE GATTO GO BACK TO CITY HALL GANIM.
