Will City Council President Aidee Nieves win another term as legislative leader?

Electing a council president Monday night will be the first order of business at the organizational meeting of the legislative body to kick off the new session.

There has been rumblings of councilman Tyler Mack working support to supplant Nieves.

Unclear how tight the vote will be or if Mack will, in fact, be nominated by a peer. Sometimes a challenge will occur in an attempt to leverage something out of the leader.
