A public hearing on Mayor Joe Ganim’s $561 million proposed budget will take place Thursday 6 p.m. in City Council chambers before the Budget and Appropriations Committee. See full budget schedule and timeline here. The proposed spending plan calls for no tax increase.
A public hearing on the Board of Education and Library budgets will take place April 24. Another public hearing on the budget is scheduled for May 3 followed by a possible budget committee vote prior to the full City Council voting May 7 or 8. Most of the budget action comes at the committee level.
The full City Council will meet Monday night at 7 when a number of mayoral appointments will be referred to the Miscellaneous Matters Committee for approval, according to an addendum to the council agenda. Full council agenda here. Addendum here.
