Bridgeport’s newest space commander, former Mayor Bill Finch, appeared on the CT Capitol Report After Hours segment hosted by Tom Dudchik with a wily panel of political strategists, to chat about his new role as director of the Discovery Museum. When asked about local and state politics Finch ducked deftly, turning the subject to his work overseeing reconstruction of the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, renamed the Mario Cuomo Bridge after the former governor. Finch had worked for Governor Andrew Cuomo prior to taking the Discovery job. See video above.
Finch chatted about his new role at Discovery, the intersection of math and science in schools and the relationship between the museum and Interdistrict Discovery Magnet School built during his mayoralty. Finch’s wonkish outlook, fundraising ability and legislative contacts make him a fit for Discovery’s public outreach.

Very Phallic Piece! Bill choked on it when he couldn’t utter Bridgeport but used Sacred Heart as his GPS.
Good catch, Grin. Disappointing…
