Police have arrested the alleged trigger man in the September 2020 murder of Nyair Nixon. PD news release:
The Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Unit has made another arrest in the high profile 2020 Keystone nightclub murder of Nyair Nixon in 2020. Quinten Mckoy, 33, (photo attached) of Bridgeport, was charged Friday with Murder, Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Carrying a Pistol without a Permit in the shooting death of Mr. Nixon, 21, inside the club on September 27th, 2020. Nyair Nixon was also a resident of Bridgeport.
Mckoy, who is also known by the street name “Quack”, is currently incarcerated on an unrelated case. Detective Thomas Harper of the Homicide Unit served Mckoy with the murder warrant at Bridgeport Superior Court at 172 Golden St. on Friday morning.
Mr. Nixon stumbled out of the Keystone nightclub and collapsed on the street at the intersection Barnum Ave. and Bishop Ave. after he was shot in the torso in the early morning hours of September 27th, 2020. Detectives determined he was shot inside of the crowded club as the result of a dispute. Mr. Nixon was transported to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Charles Young was previously charged with Mr. Nixon’s murder.
The Bridgeport Office of the State’s Attorney and the Bridgeport Police Department’s Homicide Unit have kept the investigation into Mr. Nixon’s killing on-going. Additional evidence led to Mckoy also being charged.
The investigation showed Young and Mckoy together inside the club and leaving together after the shooting.
