  1. Who made up this calendar of events? No one is going to go to downtown Bridgeport during a 2-hour window on a Saturday afternoon when there are HS and college football games, family time, and other activities of similar nature.
Even political canvassers will tell you Saturday afternoons are not a great time to meet and greet potential voters except at community events as described above.
Meet the candidates should be weekday evenings at a convenient location with ample parking (that eliminates downtown Bridgeport), and during accessible hours.
The only people who are going to show up are the flies and leeches whose jobs are reliant upon being present, and the occasional voter.
It will be a political bust and waste of time to have this meet and greet at this location at this time and place.
