From Mayor Finch:
On Wednesday, Nov. 21, Mayor Bill Finch and City Council Member Denese Taylor-Moye will host a Thanksgiving Dinner for residents of Marina Village at Marina Village Community Center, 733 South Avenue. Members of this South End community, which was severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy, will have an opportunity to enjoy a catered Thanksgiving dinner between 2 and 5 p.m.
“Marina Village was among the communities hardest hit during Hurricane Sandy. During these challenging days, it is important that we all come together to celebrate the holiday and recognize all that we are thankful for,” said Mayor Finch.

I hope Bill will be passing out Stop & Shop gift cards to these folks like he did last year post Irene at Seymour Hollander House. I forgot, it’s not a primary or election year. 🙂
Hey Grin, maybe Mitt Romney got it right but he had the wrong name, it is Bill Finch who is giving out goodies to voters.
Gee, I wonder what my two council people are doing for the seniors and people who need help. Damn, what am I, dreaming??? They are doing what they do every year. NOTHING!!!
*** Nice thing to do for the tenants of Marina Village, let’s hope they appreciate it! Also let’s see if the Mayor actually eats something, anything, instead of giving the old I’m stuffed or saving myself for his family feast excuse! ***
The Mayor is going to put on a big show and then spend the rest of the year ignoring this and the other poor neighborhoods of this city.
