  1. Captain’s Cove remains a beautiful spot and one of the jewels of Bpt.I don’t go as often as I should. But last summer I stopped down with a couple friends on a Saturday afternoon,we sat at a table on the lower deck,we decided to venture upstairs for a libation,as we started climbing the stairs a rather large, kind of angry gentleman ordered us to “STOP”,and preceded to pat us down, like one would at an airport or after being suspected of a crime. This security guard was in no mood to say
“ hello”,”please,”,or make small talk to ease the tension of a full body search.I know in this day and age these things are necessary, but perhaps management can train security not to treat it’s guests like “suspects” while performing their jobs.

  2. Funny Captain Cove I remember the last time mu wife and I were at Captain’s Cove the so called JEWEL OF BPT. I was extremely disappointed on how run down it seems to me. The bar/restaurant area in my opinion was in need of real updating. I just pictured it to have a better upscale vibe.

    1. Yes,it is a bit rundown,by “Jewel”,I meant the setting mostly,on a warm summer day/evening,it’s a wonderful place to sit, relax, people watch..But Coach, you are correct, the bar area has never been updated,I remember it exactly like that in the 80’s as a matter of fact..Let’s face it,Kaye was the driving force behind its upkeep.Unfortunately once he left us,things seemed to “ freeze in time” down there..But I stick to my belief it still is a nice place to relax..
