From Mayor’s Office:
Mayor Ganim, Office of Emergency Management, and Bridgeport Health Department officials remind residents to follow preventative measures against the Coronavirus.
Mayor Ganim stated, “If action needs to be taken, our Health Department is prepared to respond in case of an emergency and the Emergency Operations Center will share information as quickly as it becomes available.”
The City of Bridgeport EOC continues to monitor the Coronavirus situation and has been involved with other health stakeholders within the community; remaining in contact with local hospitals as they are partners in responding to an emergency plan activated by the City in case the virus poses a threat to the community.
The Public Health Emergency Preparedness plan is part of the City of Bridgeport All Hazard Emergency Operations Plan which encompasses preparedness, active investigation, emergency response, recovery, and maintenance during a public health emergency.
Preventative measures include: washing hands often, staying home when sick, covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue, as well as cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces. For a complete list of CDC tips to prevent the Coronavirus, please see the attached.
All alone Ganim selected one topic,
“Citizen fear that they may become sick”?
Trump introduced Pence to lead the charge
With others at hand with expertise looming large.
It’s a weak photo op, with no City officials and no tie
To show you just “saying something” on the fly?
Is this virus, today, your high order priority?
Or is “washing the hands” your defensive cry?
From the Annex City Hall roof top?
Has economic action come to a stop?
Time will tell.
It’s called management Mayor, get ahead of it!
Here it comes. First Coronavirus death in the United States. Washinton State with a few other confirmed confirmed cases. If Wall Street dumped this past week with NO deaths in the US,wonder what will happen this coming week?
