Dressed In Black, Educators To Share Grievances At Tuesday News Conference And Rally

Be it some occupants of the Board of Education or Superintendent Carmela Levy-David, many members of the Bridgeport Education Association are unhappy with the direction of city schools. They plan a rally Tuesday at City Hall “to discuss how teachers, students, and families are impacted by the current state of affairs in our city.”

From the BEA:

In light of the ongoing situations related to public education in Bridgeport, the Bridgeport Education Association (BEA) will be gathering with fellow public education supporters this Tuesday, September 10, for a Rally and Press Conference to discuss how teachers, students, and families are impacted by the current state of affairs in our city.

We invite you to join us at 4:30 PM on Tuesday at City Hall (45 Lyon Terrace) to ensure our voices and messages are heard.

Speakers will include BEA President Jeff Morrissey, CEA President Kate Dias, teachers, parents, students, and Board of Education members.

Please wear black and feel free to invite family, friends and colleagues.
