The patch job Joe Ganim performed on a fence near Trumbull Gardens to keep out perpetrators has been perped. CT Post reporter Brian Lockhart has more:
“Sometimes little things can help,” Ganim said at Wednesday’s forum.
Byers said he had not received a heads-up from the candidate, but appreciated the effort.
“It was a good thought,” Byers said. “However, that fence there is one of those items where you’re going to constantly have people tearing it down. You’ve got to put up a more permanent system there.”
Sure enough, by Thursday afternoon, vandals had cut through Ganim’s Band-Aid, and things were back to normal at Trumbull Gardens.

Thank you, Jennifer. I can promise you it was not “vandalism,” it was the parents of Wilbur Cross students who wanted a shortcut. How naïve. I would like this reported on Channel 12. I appreciate Joe’s ability to get press, but the neighborhood thought it was silly as I spoke to them as I walked Trumbull Gardens totally the other day.
BTW, I think it would be Brilliant if the council leaders of the 135th, Mary McBride? and the leadership of Trumbull Gardens got together with their neighbors at Stoneridge. I have many friends living there and I just met Linda Cristie, the President of the Board of Directors. I thought she was amazing and I know the residents of Trumbull Gardens and Stoneridge share many of the same concerns. Congratulations to Stoneridge for paying off their mortgage.

Ironically, and most honestly, I was in Trumbull Gardens for one hour and didn’t even look at the fence, though I was there quite a few days ago.

Oh that’s right, hanging out at Ganim’s make-believe Police/Campaign HQ right around the corner. I guess that shows what the police union endorsement is worth.
