Meghan Lowney, board member of Excel was introduced to CT State Board of Education Chairman Allan Taylor by Alex Johnston, Director of ConnCan. She and he are fans of charter schools and teacher evaluations based on high-stakes tests. In addition, she’s a consultant for a Greenwich billionaire interested in making money off the backs of Bridgeport students.
She and Board Chairman Taylor have an many email exchanges, all of which she requests he keep quiet about.
I believe another board member, Bob Francis of RYASAP wrote an extremely pro-charter school letter to the editor of the CT Post. Birds of a feather, etc. etc.
The fact no one has commented on this speaks for itself. Zzz zzz zzz. Another well-intentioned guy jumping on education reform because that is where the money is and btw, doesn’t live in Bridgeport. Sweet but boring. Just more window-dressing for Excel or BPSS or whatever.
