Federal Trial Begins For Former State Senator Bradley, Charged With Campaign Finance Fraud

CT Post coverage of trial here

From Dan Tepfer, CT Examiner:

Former State Sen. Dennis Bradley Jr. faced a federal jury Tuesday morning on campaign finance charges.

Bradley, a Democrat who represented Bridgeport and Stratford, was first elected to the 23rd Senate District in 2018 but lost reelection in a primary to Herron Gaston. He is now charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud for, according to prosecutors, “using lies and half-truths to obtain campaign financing from the state of Connecticut.”

…Prosecutors said they intended to present evidence that Bradley organized a March 15, 2018, event at Dolphin’s Cove restaurant in Bridgeport that he purported to be a “thank-you party” for his law firm, but was in fact intended to be the launch party for his senate campaign.

“Mr. Bradley planned the event with his campaign (not law firm) staff, paid for the event with personal (not law firm) funds, publicized the event in local media as a campaign announcement, invited numerous Bridgeport politicians, and made a speech in which he announced his candidacy for Senate,” the prosecutors stated.

They claimed Bradley directed his campaign staff to bring campaign contribution forms to the event, to solicit campaign contributions, and then to falsify the dates on contribution forms to hide that they had been collected at the party.

  1. This was so unnecessary, people. Butt the “disingenuousness” is epic in this governance shit show world, people

I mean, does anyone find it interesting, “disingenuously” at that, that “Trump’s appointed Director of the National Counterterrorism Center resigned. As a means to prosecute Trump, by extension, the Iran “aggression”

    https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/17/politics/joe-kent-resigns-iran-war

I mean, he only resigned after two top Iranian officials were killed, Security Chief Ali Larijani, who was said to be more powerful than the Ayatollah, and the Basij commander.

It comes off as a means to persecute Trump in the press in a negative way, to say the least.

I don’t know, people, I mean, if my theory is perhaps plausible, and not everyone in G2 headquarters, in his comeback, didn’t really have his “back,” and was working agaisnt G2, Including John Gomes, who G2 “hired” to be his “hatchet man” in his administration, and then went on ran against him in an effort to unsest G2.

Speaking of things so unnecessary, per se. It seems this war, I mean “aggression” is more about how its partrayed in the press to win the hearts and minds of the “people.” Even so, why do I think the press coverage is about “disingenuous” as Port Politics? Considering Syria Civil War pe se, for 14 years, Russia Urkranie war for 12 years, the shit show in Gaza, to name a few.

I mean, it is now being reported that the man who targeted Trump for assassination was killed. I don’t know about you, but considering the “disingenuous” of American Politics. It is fair to say that our government’s apparatus to protect the president’s, the Secret Service, may have been beyond negligent in not securing the roof a hundred years away with a clear line of sight.

At any rate, speaking about “disingenuous” press coverage and politics. What is this “disingenuous” coverage about a bridge crossing over the Port’s beach with no political push back from any Port elected officials? Y’all going to wait until it’s erected like that thermal deuce before voicing concerns? 🤣
