Quite the weekend at The Amp – Goo Goo Dolls and Jerry Seinfeld headlining back-to-back nights.
The Amp was once the baseball field of the Bridgeport Bluefish so why not present Jerry Seinfeld a bat from his favorite Mets player Tommy Agee the centerfielder who splattered his body all over the Shea Stadium turf snatching balls that weren’t supposed to be caught against a mighty Baltimore Orioles team, the Amazins winning the World Series four games to one in 1969.
Iconic concert promoter Jim Koplik and the brain behind The Amp, Bridgeport’s music man Howard Saffan encased a signed Agee World Series bat backstage.

A terrific weekend for Bpt!.. The Amp is a beautiful venue & brings a lot of people to our city that otherwise wouldn’t step foot in it..
Freed Gee!
Great! This Puerto Rican flag burning chump has something to sit on.
