Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, the Parris Island Marine Band has prepared a virtual New Year’s Eve special performance for the community of Bridgeport and devoted fans. Ring in the New Year as the Band performs a compilation of pieces in a variety of genres including classical, patriotic, marches, contemporary pop, jazz, and holiday tunes!

As part of their concert, the Parris Island Marine Band will recognize in memory the lives of two individuals who have added so much to the 32-year tradition and history of the Bridgeport Marine Corps Band Concerts. They are, CWO5 Roxanne Haskill, the first Band Officer to arrive in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1987 to conduct the first Concert, and Vincent Vizzo who organized the Concert that year at Captain’s Cove Marina for the Council of Italian American Societies of Greater Bridgeport. One year later in 1988, in his memory and in grateful appreciation for his selfless service and numerous contributions to the Bridgeport community, the Concerts have been named in his honor.
