  1. Nothing to see here but a typical left wing lib move, perhaps with the auto pen. This is why many of you libs deserve each other.
Continuing the ‘shithole’ mentality for the Democratic Party, go blame your guy Biden the beach guy. Or figure out, as many of you do, how to blame Trump!
    And I’m really a ‘libertarian’ 😂.
I would try to find out how it ever even made it to Biden’s White House for it to be acted upon. If anyone REALLY cared, they would look into that.

  2. As a self-identified Libertarian (which you have every right to ‘be’ and ‘acknowlege’) is it fair to share with readers the three things, aside from disparaging other citizens, that feeds them? Decreasing tax burders, lowering governmental regulations about most issues, and ‘personal liberty’, the freedom to act as an individual with fewest concerns beyond what pops as one of your rights. Do you acknowledge any duties or obligations and practice them to the community in which you live?

About the Adrian Peeler release: After conviction on State charges for participating in a murder conspiracy, he was awarded a term which he served. Of course, there were also Federal drug charges, to be served subsequently. This was subject to changed restrictions by Trump and then clemency from Biden. Perhaps people wish a plague on pardons, clemency, and other lawful ways of recognizing life changes of folks who were recognized previously for being ‘bad actors’ against their neighbors and the wider community.

Mayor Ganim is quoted in the CT Post that “this is not the way this is supposed to operate” without more specific sharing of what he means. He sees himself as “one who strongly believes in second chance opportunities” personally seeking a Biden pardon, or possibly a Trump pardon. Joe Ganim has been elected three times since returning from doing time for his municipal corrupt activities. But has he had a firm purpose of amendment to correct weak municipal elections in the City, to assist citizens with FAIR housing or RENT matters, and when appointing a Charter Commission to ignore clearly independent potential commissioners and have one of his own high-level administrators appointed which gives rise to accusations of perceived conflicts of interest, especially with high level ETHICS RECOMMENDATIONS?

July 22, 2025 City Council Chambers will host a public hearing by the Council on the Charter for those who would like to comment on bringing our primary document into the 21st Century. The CC Ordinance Committee met last evening to view next steps to their Council review of the Charter group recommendations. On Saturday at 10AM they will meet to review Chapters 1, 2, and 3 at City Hall on Lyon Terrace. See you there. Time will tell.

  3. The date for next Tuesday that I reported for a PUBLIC HEARING was wrong. I apologize to readers. The Public Hearing will be held on JULY 21 at 6 PM in City Council Chambers. Please expect one or more opportunities to attend Council sub-committee meetings which will allow the Council to read, comprehend, and respond to the task of laying out a modern text, simple enough to be read by a citizen, and content organized in a manner that doesn’t force a reader to search multiple sections to gain relevant meaning from their inquiry.
Further notices from the City Clerk’s office are anticipated. Time will tell.
