A new Italian restaurant has joined Downtown’s Bijou Square, filling the space formerly occupied by the French bistro Épernay on Fairfield Avenue. ‘A Vucchella (“a sweet mouth” in Neapolitan dialect) features southern Italian dishes. Makayla Silva of the CT Post has more:

Trattoria ‘A Vucchella, an Italian restaurant featuring the simple and authentic dishes of a trattoria, opened its doors on Fairfield Avenue at the beginning of this month.

Owned by cousins Jennifer Galletti and Thomas Bepko, both of the Bridgeport area, and Pasquale De Martino, of Sorrento, Italy, Trattoria ‘A Vucchella features a limited menu of traditional Neapolitan cuisine.
