Mayor Ganim announces that the State of Connecticut has partnered with CIC Health, in collaboration with the City of Bridgeport, to host a premier FREE testing opportunity with extended hours and short wait time to create enhanced accessibility for educators, first responders, and community members who seek to participate in COVID-19 testing at West Beach Seaside Park, 10 Barnum Dyke.
Testing at this location is free of charge and there is no need to present identification or proof of health insurance. The tests are self-administered with a simple shallow nasal swab and results are typically delivered within 24-36 hours. The site accommodates vehicle drive-up testing as well as pedestrians and bicyclists. Hours of operation include Monday-Friday 8:00am – 7:45pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm.
Mayor Ganim stated, “More important than the beauty here at Seaside Park is the centralized mass testing site for COVID-19. Please help us in our continued efforts to slow or stop the spread of COVID-19. Take advantage of this opportunity that is well-designed to break down any barriers that exist between you and the opportunity to get tested to keep yourself and your family protected against the virus.”
EOC Director Scott Appleby, “The accessibility of this site is great for working families and those individuals that have a scheduling conflict with work hours or other responsibilities. Teachers, staff members of education institutions, first responders, all are welcome and have priority access. We’re here to ensure access to the opportunity for you to put the health of yourself and loved ones first by offering 7-days a week testing with hours that extend into late-afternoon and evening hours.”

This testing site has been there for a week how something is put out about it. I was tested there and it’s fast, easy and you don’t have to get out of your car. This was the easiest and the fastest COVID-19 test that I’ve taken. There were just two cars ahead of me.
