Johnson’s New Role At UB Continues Connection With City Students

From Linda Conner Lambeck, CT Post:

Soon-to-depart city Schools Superintendent Aresta Johnson is going to work for the University of Bridgeport.

Johnson will become the director of K-12 strategic initiatives within the UB School of Education beginning August 12, 2019. It is a newly created role, university officials said.

“I’m looking forward to this wonderfully exciting opportunity to join the Purple Knights family,” Johnson said on Wednesday in a text. “My work at UB will allow me to expand my expertise in programmatic development and partnerships while remaining connected with the students and families in Bridgeport.”

  1. I am really excited for her and Bridgeport. She will remain close by and involved in K-12 education creating opportunities for our students.

She is worthy of her new role without the constant machinations of corrupt and unethical politicians interfering in her efforts to serve students, parents and our community.

The very best to you Aresta!
