The Candidate Lineup, More To Come

Four weeks from party endorsements the Town Clerk’s Office has shared the latest list of candidate registrations for City Council and Board of Education. More candidates are expected to file papers soon in what is shaping up as a busy September 12 Democratic primary. Others such as former State Senator Ernie Newton, who’s seeking his old council seat, have announced public intentions. Some incumbents and potential candidates are being coy about seeking reelection and will get in officially in and around the July week endorsements.

  1. Will any of these people address the population decrease in Bridgeport? In one year 1,700 people left Bridgeport. I love this city but it’s expensive to live here and you don’t get your money worth. I’m considering moving out as well in the next few months. 1,700 moved out in just a year wow.
