A fight between two men early Saturday morning outside Chubby’s Bar & Grill in Black Rock spilled out into Ash Creek leaving a man dead, according to police.
Bridgeport Police, Fire, and AMR as well as Fairfield Police were at the scene. The bar is located along Ash Creek that divides Bridgeport and Fairfield.
The Bridgeport Fire Department recovered one individual–a male whose identity is not being released yet–from the water, according to city spokesman Brett Broesder.
The other individual involved in the fight fled the scene and is still outstanding.
