Ganim Appoints Rowena White Communications Director

Mayor Joe Ganim on Friday announced the appointment of veteran marketing professional Rowena White as director of communications replacing Av Harris who has assumed a new role as director of legislative affairs and public policy. A Bridgeport resident, White’s annual salary is $100,000. She was a volunteer during Ganim’s 2015 comeback campaign.

From Dan Tepfer, CT Post Bishop William Marshall, pastor of City of Life Worship and Deliverance Center and a member of the city’s fire commission, was arrested Wednesday morning and accused of stealing more than $8,000 in electricity from the United Illuminating Co.

New Advocacy Group Launched To Help Resuscitate State Economy

Brett Broesder, who served as communications director for former Mayor Bill Finch, has joined forces with education advocate Bill Phillips in a new advocacy group focused on spurring economic growth in Connecticut. Broesder also recently served as chief spokesman for Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin. He left government for this new venture.
